2022 Competition Prizes- Women in photography - Vals Book, 2022 - People’s Choice Prize

Nejma Kachaou (FR, 1980) lives and works in Versailles, France.

Graduated from the University of Arts of Bordeaux in 2004, she developed photographic work alongside her teaching of visual arts in secondary school at the Versailles academy.

The construction of her images is based on landmarks referring to landscape, sculpture and architecture. So many fields that her photography addresses with an anthropological approach.

In 2021, she published the book Vals, prefaced by Laureline Mattiussi.

Nejma Kachaou's photographs are regularly published in Landscape Stories Magazine and F-Stop Magazine.

In 2023, she is developing the Pacific mirage project, composing images referring to the power of the elements and the deep roots of the Pacific worlds.
